Accolades for Cedarville’s Bolender, Ohio State’s Trotter

College Notes

There is no shortage of accolades in the career of Cedarville University track and field and cross country coach Jeff Bolender. He has led the Yellow Jackets to eight women’s and three men’s NCCAA indoor track championships, one each in outdoor competition and three NCCAA national titles in women’s cross country.

Since becoming the women’s cross country coach in 2009, he also earned the Great Midwest Athletic Conference coach of the year award six times, including Saturday at the GMAC championships, where Cedarville won with 45 points and a total time of 1:50.58.

Prior to his ascension into Cedarville fame and acclaim, Bolender began his career in Columbus, where he was a teacher and coach at Maranatha Christian Schools.  From 1991-1994 Bolender taught health, physical education and Bible, coached the soccer team and was the athletic director his final year.
