Fylde and Wolves – both backed by sizeable crowds – made it three straight wins in the Northern Premier, the former defeating Burnley with efforts by Faye McCoy and Amy Hughes, the latter seeing off rivals West Brom as Tammy George’s opener was added to in stoppage-time by Amber Hughes. Huddersfield and Brighouse side third and fourth respectively, the Terriers denied victory late on when Brittany Sanderson’s goal was cancelled out by Drew Green.

Southampton joined Southern Premier leaders Ipswich on nine points from three games, Ella Pusey scoring in either half for the Saints at Chichester & Selsey. Crawley joined Portsmouth on six points after edging their visitors, Wasps’ Emma Plewa and Pompey’s Cherelle Khassal netting moments apart on the way to a double each, while Naomi Cole made it 3-1 to the hosts. London Bees’ Nicole Jancey struck on 79 minutes to claim all three points at Hounslow.

Lincoln twice came from behind to lead Doncaster 3-2 at the break, before going on to win the Division 1 Midlands clash 5-2. Holwell’s Chantelle Robinson got the only goal of the game at Peterborough, Burton battled back to come through 3-1 at Long Eaton with an Ella Ritchie brace and one from Millie Drinkhall, while Wem eked out a win in a nine-goal thriller with Leek, Kim Bebbington netting a double after her side trailed 3-1 at the interval.

Newcastle lead four other on goal-difference at the Division 1 North summit, having sent Alnwick to a 7-1 defeat with hat-tricks by Kacie Elson and Katie Barker. FC United clinched a first-ever three points at this level, two goals from Ella Hartley and one by Kirsty Chambers beating Bradford.

Division 1 South East leaders Billericay were held 1-1 by Hashtag United who led through Maddie Thomas, Town replying with Zoe Rushen’s goal early in the second half. London Seaward went second as Kate Bradley, Katherine Long and Kayleigh Xidhas scored first-half goals in a 3-1 victory at Wimbledon. Harlow banked their opening point in the league at Enfield but it might have been all three, with the home side having Mollie Kmita sent off before the break. An Alana Munro cross forced a Harlow own-goal but they soon levelled through Chloe Bassett.

Gemma Fraser found the net from 30 yards to see Chesham to victory over Maidenhead and top spot in Division 1 South West. Bournemouth and Portishead each continued unbeaten starts to their new challenge, the Cherries sinking Southampton WFC 4-0, the Posset pipping Larkhall 1-0.
