Everton banked their first points of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League season with a 3-1 victory over Birmingham City.

Leonie Maier gave them a 13th-minute lead but Jade Pennock levelled for City just after the half-hour mark.

Hanna Bennison restored the lead after linking up with Toni Duggan but it was deep into added time that they made sure of the win.

Izzy Christiansen’s 97th-minute corner was headed home by Rikki Sevecke.
