ACC Network Announces Fall Broadcast Schedule
Duke field hockey will make two appearances on your televisions this fall as the ACC Network recently announced it will air the Blue Devils’ home game versus Maryland (Sept. 5) and the road contest at Boston College (Oct. 22).
ACC Network Extra (ACCNX), the network’s digital arm available on the ESPN app, will carry more than 200 ACC events. Duke’s regular season home contests not selected for ACC Network will be broadcast on ACCNX, which is accessible via the ESPN app or ESPN.com/watch.

Blue Devil Rookies See First Action
Duke welcomed seven rookies and nine newcomers overall to the squad this fall. Six hail from three different states and the seventh came across the pond from England. Six of the rookies got their first taste of college field hockey against the Monarchs.
The group features high scoring forwards to stellar back field players. Four of the six hailing from the United States were named to the inaugural NFHCA Impact Senior Team this past year and a handful have national team experience in both indoor and outdoor hockey. Three of the forwards accumulated over 100 points in their scholastic careers even with missing a year due to COVID-19.
The rookies have the potential to be impact players for Duke, while providing incredible depth to the Blue Devil lineup.
Wrapping Up Preseason at UNC
A busy and exhausting 10 days of preseason training wraps up this weekend as the Blue Devils head into game week. Duke will make the short trip for a final scrimmage against North Carolina, Aug. 22.
Preseason has afforded the opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better on and off the field, while allowing each player many repetitions on the field and in drills.
First Day of Classes
Summer camp coming to a close means one thing, school is about to begin. The Blue Devils head to the first day of class Monday, Aug. 23. It will be the last first day of undergrad class for five seniors and the very first for the seven freshmen.
They will get a short break from the books the first weekend in October with fall break. Family weekend comes two weeks later from Oct. 15-17.
Welcoming Karli Paschall to the Duke Staff
The Blue Devils have a new addition to the staff in former women’s soccer player Karli Paschall. She is working with the program as a sports science data analyst. Duke uses the Catapult system and through Paschall’s expertise and incredible knowledge, the Blue Devils will be primed to go at peak levels every day. Stay tuned to GoDuke.com for more in depth information about Paschall’s fascinating role.
