New Hartford girls soccer finishes unbeaten regular season with win over rival Whitesboro; Spartans boys use three-goal second half to down Warriors

New Hartford 5, Whitesboro 0*

The No. 1 state-ranked Spartans finish a perfect regular seas at 16-0 with the shutout over their Tri-Valley League rival. Willa Pratt scored two goals for New Hartford with Carolina Sekula, Anna Rayhill, and Olivia Vitullo putting in the others.

Allison Falvo registered two assists, with Makenzie Desmarais and Talia Vitullo also notching helpers in the game.

New Hartford keeper Savannah Cole made five saves in the game, while Nora Vick had her hands full and came up big with 26 stops of her own.

The Spartans will enter the Section III Tournament as the top seed in Class A. They have won 30 straight matches dating back to the 2020 season.


Boys Soccer
New Hartford 5, Whitesboro 2*

The No. 18 state-ranked Spartans broke a 2-2 tie just under 13 minutes into the second half and never looked back as the team improves to 12-2-1 overall and remains unbeaten in TVL play at 10-0.

Nik Linder led the way with two goals and two assists, while Aly Radwan scored one and assisted on two. Chase Giambrone and Will Trela were the other goal scorers, while Michael Linder notched an assist.

Evan Putnam and Brendan Chrysler provided the offense for the Warriors with Max Pawlowski and Jesse Dutcher assisting on the goals.

Luke Miller made seven saves for Whitesboro, with Mahmoud Radwan and Dylan Zayachek each stopping two for New Hartford.
