The only change at the top of the Women’s Regional Leagues was Merseyrail regaining the North West leadership.
EASTERN – Top two clash ends goalless
Premier – Wymondham Town went six points clear at the top with a 6-2 defeat of Haringey Borough. Kings Lynn Town came away from third-placed Royston Town 2-1 winners, St Ives Town won the basement battle with AFC Dunstable 2-1.
1 North – There was also a meeting of the bottom pair as Whittlesey Athletic won 5-3 over Haverhill Rovers with a hat-trick by Annie Posnett.
1 South – Second-placed AFC Sudbury ended goalless at home to leaders Leigh Ramblers, East Bergholt United beat Wodson Park 5-2 with two apiece for Jessica Oxlade and Kira Wealls.
EAST MIDLANDS – Thrapston go through after fightback
League Cup 1st Rd – Amelia Boddington struck a 20-minute hat-trick for Thrapston Town as they came back from 3-1 down to edge hosts Peterborough United Reserves 4-3. Nottingham Forest DS pipped SJR Worksop 2-1 with a late Jessica Abdy goal, Arnold Eagles’ Natasha Leach netted the winner for a 3-2 result at Rotherham United, Sleaford Town knocked out Leicester City Ladies with a Paige Wright effort and Lincoln United scored a dozen first-half goals on the way to a 15-0 scoreline against Appleby Frodingham. Other results were; Mansfield Town 0-2 Chesterfield, Anstey Nomads 1-4 Loughborough Students, Coalville Town 6-0 Cleethorpes Town, Grimsby Borough 0-3 Derby County Academy, Grimsby Town 1-2 Oughtibridge WM, Leicester Road A-A Nottingham Trent University, Loughborough Foxes Vixens 0-7 Notts County, Oadby & Wigston 0-7 Northampton Town, Rise Park H/W Ilkeston Town, Sherwood H/W Kettering Town, Woodlands A/W Notts County DS.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Ten-player Benfica hold on in extra-time
Premier – Ashford Town (Middx) defeated Denham United to move seven points clear, Fulham are up to second after a 2-0 victory at Dulwich Hamlet, Millwall Lionesses third having seen off Dartford 3-1. Whyteleafe pulled off a 2-1 result at New London Lionesses and Aylesford beat Saltdean United 4-1.
1 North – Walton Casuals fought back to defeat leaders Dorking Wanderers 4-2 with two from Tiffany Skinner, Brentford got the only goal of the game against Sutton United through Chloe Webb to leapfrog them into third, bottom two Victoire and Clapham United finished 2-2.
1 South – AFC Acorns put seven past Bexhill United to go top, Herne Bay’s Gemma Shepherd bagged a brace for a 2-1 win at Welling United, Newhaven took the points 3-1 at Maidstone United.
League Cup 1st Rd – Watford DS drew 2-2 after extra-time with Sport London E Benfica whose Shivani Bedi got a goal and a red card, with the replay at the end of the month. Meridian bowed out 2-0 at home to Hackney, likewise Parkwood Rangers against Dulwich Hamlet Reserves, Hastings United advanced past Ashford Ladies 4-0.
NORTH EAST – Farsley Celtic FC hold leaders
Premier – Farsley Celtic FC held leaders York City 0-0, Redcar Town went second as Jessica Round’s goal gave them a 3-2 win at Sheffield Wednesday, Harrogate Town are up to third after they came from behind at Wakefield Trinity to win with a Charlotte Broad effort. Sunderland West End put five past Hartlepool United, while it ended 2-2 between South Shields and Ossett United.
1 North – Spennymoor Town got all their goals by the break as they beat Wallsend BC Reserves 4-1, to go within a point of leaders Blyth Town. Boro Rangers sank hosts Prudhoe Town 7-0 and Chester le Street United’s Emma Hewett got four of their 13 goals at Guisborough Town as they also gained ground on the top team, while Washington won 2-0 over Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves.
1 South – York Railway Institute dropped points for the first time when crashing 4-1 at home to Barnsley FC Ladies. Farsley Celtic Juniors secured a first win, 6-3 at Millmoor where Shauna Hill and Sarah Lawn got two apeice. Bradford Park Avenue were 4-1 winners over Wakefield Trinity U-23s.
NORTH WEST – Merseyrail move back into first
Premier – Merseyrail took back top spot from Tranmere Rovers with a single-goal success at Cheadle Town Stingers, third-placed Crewe Alexandra netted nine against Wigan Athletic. Other results; AFC Darwen 1-2 Fleetwood Town Wrens, Mossley Hill Athletic 0-2 West Didsbury & Chorlton, Salford City Lionesses 4-2 Morecambe.
1 North – Blackburn CSC’s 3-1 victory at Sir Tom Finney saw them replace Blackpool in first place, third-placed Workington Reds were held by Accrington Stanley. Penrith got the better of Preston North End 5-3, Haslingden won 5-1 against Penwortham Town and Chorley DS also scored five with visitors Carlisle United replying twice.
1 South – Chester lead on goal-difference after their 5-2 win at Runcorn Linnets and Warrington Wolves 1-0 home defeat to Alder, Northwich Vixens also on to 16 points with a 3-2 win over Hindley. Curzon Ashton hot hosts Wythenshawe Amateurs 6-1, while West Kirby went down 5-2 at home to Mersey Valley.
SOUTHERN – Southampton WFC first to frustrate Cherries
Premier – Eastleigh rose to third as Catherine Browning got the winner in a 3-2 result at Winchester City Flyers, Oxford City’s first win came by the same score away at Woodley United where Ellie White scored the decider.
Division 1 – AFC Bournemouth DS dropped their first points when held 2-2 at home by Southampton WFC Reserves, allowing AFC Stoneham to close in with a 7-o defeat of Milton United in which Madison Payne registered a treble, Bournemouth Sports also cutting the gap with all four goals of the game at Abbey Rangers. New Milton Town won by a similar score at Eversley & California, Chichester City leapfrogged Woking whom they beat 3-2 away with the aid of a Molly Jones double.
SOUTH WEST – Sherborne Town up to second
Premier – Ilminster Town still lead following a 5-2 defeat of Forest Green Rovers, Sherborne Town are up to second after a 3-2 win at Torquay United where Gemma Mountain bagged a brace. Bishops Lydeard won by the same score at Middlezoy Rovers help0ed by two from Charlotte Cross, Royal Wootton Bassett Town blew away Bideford 14-0 eight goals by with Libby Davies.
1 East – Chipping Sodbury Town beat Paulton Rovers 5-2 to go above them, AEK Boco’s opening victory came 7-0 at Swindon Supermarine.

1 North – Bristol Rovers have an eight-point lead after winning 4-1 at Weston Mendip, while Frampton Rangers were held 1-1 at home by Downend Flyers. Bristol Ladies Union won 4-0 at Weston Super Mare and Oldland Abbotonians gained a first win 3-1 over Cheltenham Town DS as Olivia Goozee scored twice.
1 West – Plymouth Argyle U-23s pushed themselves into pole position with a 6-3 score against Liverton United and hat-trick from Megan Bishop. Feniton’s Megan Williams also scored three times as her side came from 3-2 down at half-time to win 5-3 at Helston Athletic.
WEST MIDLANDS – Knowle win top two clash
Premier – The leading pair – Stourbridge and Sutton Coldfield Town – both won comfortably, 9-0 over Coventry Sphinx and 5-0 against Coundon Court respectively, third-placed Lichfield City edged Worcester City 2-1 with a Natasha Lawrence winner. Crusaders’ Kirsty Spencer netted three of their four goals at Redditch United who replied once, Lye Town beat Kidderminster Harriers by the same score, Tamworth sending City of Stoke to a 6-1 loss.
1 North – All the top five won, leaders Shifnal Town 9-1 at Wyrley, Shrewsbury Town hit six at Coventry City, AFC Telford United won 5-0 Walsall over, Port Vale 3-1 against Sandwell with a Hollie Edwards brace, Darlaston Town 4-1 versus Walsall Wood.
1 South – The top of the table clash saw Knowle sting Leamington Lions 5-0 featuring an Alice Belcher hat-trick. Kingfisher beat Rugby Borough 2-1 with Chloe Schulze’s winner, Abi Beady’s goal gave Sedgley & Gornal United a 2-1 victory at Cookley Sports, Droitwich Spa got off the mark by beating Rugby Town 3-1 as Aimee Ward was on target twice.
