The Wright State golf team is playing in the Valpo Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, with the Raiders coming off a huge win at the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational over the weekend. Wright State won the team title with a 22-under team score, 38 shots ahead of second place, while Cole Corder won the individual title with his 10-under score. Wright State placed four individuals in the top six overall and every Raider turned in finishes inside the top 13. Corder set a tournament and Delaware Country Club competitive course record with his round of 62 to open the weekend.
The Wright State men’s soccer team is coming off a 1-1 week, falling on the road to Bowling Green before a 3-1 victory on Saturday in Horizon League play against Green Bay behind goals from Zion Beaton, Sandro Branquinho and Conner Osterholt. The Raiders continue Horizon League play on the road this week with a single match on the schedule, with Wright State making the short trip to take on Northern Kentucky next Saturday night.
The Wright State women’s soccer team gets set for its second long trip in as many weeks, hitting the road for a Thursday night matchup at Green Bay before returning home to host IUPUI on Sunday afternoon with a Koozie Giveaway for fans in attendance. The Raiders fell at Milwaukee last week despite a goal from Destiny Johnson before a 1-1 double overtime draw on Sunday against Youngstown State, as Josie Krupp found the back of the net late in the second half to force the extra time.
The Wright State volleyball team closed non-conference tournament play with a 2-1 weekend in Milwaukee at the Marquette Invitational with wins over Northern Iowa and UTSA. The Raider now get set for Horizon League play beginning at home on Saturday afternoon against Northern Kentucky inside McLin Gymnasium. Saturday’s contest will be a green out with a Raiders green shirt giveaway for fans in attendance.
