HB Koge 0-2 Barcelona
Arsenal 4-0 Hoffenheim

Group D

Bayern Munich 4-0 BK Hacken
Lyon 5-0 Benfica

Hoffenheim had gone close in the first period but Arsenal held a 2-0 advantage at the interval, Kim Little converting from the spot after Beth Mead was clipped and Tobin Heath scoring her first goals for the Gunners. Vivianne Miedema ended a three-game run without a goal, before Leah Williamson headed home via a Katie McCabe corner.

The Gunners’ next UWCL game is on 10 November away to Danish champions HB Køge, while the return clash with Barcelona on Thursday 9  December will be played at the Emirates Stadium.

Barcelona made it back-to-back wins with a 2-0 result away to HB Køge but Kyra Carusa nearly gave the hosts the lead in the first minute. Fridolina Rolfö broke the deadlock for Barca after the break but needed Jennifer Hermoso’s late penalty to make sure of the victory.

Bayern Munich have four points from two games after defeating Häcken 4-0. Lineth Beerensteyn was denied by the post before Lea Schüller struck twice in the first dozen minutes, her second off a Giulia Gwinn cross. Linda Dallmann saw her second-half effort deflected in and Jovana Damnjanović thumped in a fourth at the death.

Lyon doubled their points tally when putting five goals past Benfica. Kadeisha Buchanan netted the first of her brace followed by one from Daniëlle van de Donk, before the French side ran in three goals in eleven second-half minutes. Melvine Malard found the net with an overhead kick and Catarina Macario also registered.
